• Increase the IPv6 deployment rate of the Arab Region to catch up with the leading countries through a clear Roadmap and deployment plan to maximize the benefit and the positive impact on Arab Region’s GDP Growth.

• Establish a multistakeholder platform for discussing crucial aspects of IPv6 implementation, aiming to develop an “IPv6 Regional Framework” that serves as a comprehensive “Regional IPv6 Blueprint.

• Coordinate the efforts and activities of the existing National IPv6 Task Forces / IPv6 Councils which are led and supported by the Arab Regulatory Authorities to ensure alignment with the « IPv6 Regional Framework ».

• Incorporate the key strategies, frameworks, and policies enacted by the different Arab League’s activities (including ICT Regulation, Arab Digital Strategy 2033, Arab Cybersecurity Strategy, ICT, Sustainable Development, and input from the Arab Council of Economy), along with the digital infrastructure challenges faced by all Arab Member States. From there, create an “IPv6 Regional Framework” that serves as an “IPv6 Regional Blueprint”.

• Report results of operationalization and instantiation of this “IPv6 Regional Framework” to the Arab League Stakeholders as feedback and retrospective analysis for adjustment and updating of the enacted Policies, Frameworks, and Strategies.

• Enhance the development of IPv6 talent and skills in the Arab Region to cultivate a community of certified IPv6 experts and practitioners who can effectively assist the Public and Private Sectors in supporting the implementation of the Arab Digital Agenda 2033.

• Guide relevant stakeholders (both Public and Private Sectors) in each Arab Member State to establish a “National IPv6 Taskforce/Council” (if not already in place). The Arab IPv6 Council offers support to assist Arab Member States in developing their own tailored IPv6 Strategies ensuring it is inherently aligned with the “IPv6 Regional Framework”.

• Encourage the Arab Member States that have already individually developed their IPv6 Strategy and created their National IPv6 Task Forces / IPv6 Councils to align with the « IPv6 Regional Framework », the IPv6 Regional Framework being the “Metamodel” in this exercise.

Encourage Members to invest in fibres as Future-Proof digital infrastructure of the Ultra-Broadband and High-Speed Internet to smoothly enter the “Gigabit Society” and maximize the benefit it brings to Business and to Society.
